Fatima Parents As Teacher

Kelly Welschmeyer has been a parent educator since 2014. She earn an Associates Degree in Business Management from Columbia College in 2013. She works full-time for the State of Missouri and part-time for Fatima Parents As Teachers. Mrs. Welschmeyer is married and has two children.

Mrs. Welschmeyer does home visits and screenings in the evenings and on the weekends to meet the needs of families with busy schedules. She encourages families to work together to help their child's development grow and to prepare them for kindergarten. She also provides information to families in need and refers families to other services in the area. She loves her job and is always excited to see little minds at work. Cathy Borgmeyer has been a parent educator since 1994. She received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Biology in August 1970 from Lincoln University. She helped set up the first kindergarten in the district and taught kindergarten for many years. She also taught first and second grade combined at Meta Elementary School. Mrs. Borgmeyer has four children and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Borgmeyer has retired but continues to work part-time. She does home visits every day, where she checks the development of the child and helps parents to be the best they can be. She also does screenings and refers the child if there is an issue. It is an wonderful job which she dearly loves. Group Meetings - Scheduled 2015-2016 Group Meetings

Group meetings and parent/child activities where you can join with other parents as you gain insights and discover more about your child's development. Some popular sessions include Messy Night, Baby Basics, and Literacy events.

Screenings

Developmental screenings offer parents a quick and effective way to look at how their child is learning and growing in the areas of physical and social development, health, vision and hearing. Screenings are free and private.
